Kevin works as a Technical Development Specialist with BASF. His main role is technology transfer – moving information and products from the researcher who created them to the farmer who will use them. 

Jeff Ewen is an Irrigation Agrologist with a provincial Ministry of Agriculture. His work helps industry and governments come to better understand the direct agronomic challenges faced by producers along with practical solutions to these challenges.

Katie MacMillan is a Precision Agronomist with Farmers Edge. Her company provides agronomy and Variable Rate Technology services to farmers, connecting technology with traditional agronomic practices. 

Working as a veterinarian with a focus on large animals can be challenging but comes with its rewards. As a veterinarian you have the opportunity to build relationships with families as you work with them on a long-term basis.

Natacha is an Assistant Professor of Animal Science at a leading Canadian university. As one of five Northern Ecosystem Toxicology Initiative (NETI) researchers, Natasha uses her training as a toxicologist to address contaminant issues in animal health. 

Simranjit is a part of the international breeding program at Dow AgroSciences. Using state-of-the-art genetic technology, he looks at how different crop varieties from around the world may help to increase yields, resist stress and combat disease. Their goal is to reduce input costs for farmers in temperate climates.

Meet Nicole, a Health Safety and Environment Compliance and Audit Specialist. In her role with Bayer CropScience, she sees the large role science and technology play in the agriculture and agri-food industry.   

Looking after bees is similar to solving a puzzle. There can be a variety of reasons why bees in a hive are not performing well, and it’s up to people like Geoff Wilson to find the right one. Geoff is a provincial specialist in apiculture, the study and management of honeybees, with a provincial Ministry of Agriculture. 

Katelyn earned a two-year college diploma in Renewable Resource Management.  Katelyn is now employed by the Assiniboine Watershed Stewardship Association (AWSA) as a Watershed Technician. Katelyn feels it is important for all farmers to be stewards of the land.

With no background in farming, and a love for mathematics, Daniel never calculated that he would work in the agriculture industry. However, his decision to do so has added up to an enjoyable and fulfilling career.

Adam is a Farm Income Analyst with a provincial Ministry of Agriculture Policy Branch, and his days blend his love of agriculture with his natural abilities for numbers.
