Ryan is the Manager of Canola Origination. He helps sign canola producers to supply the facility, but it isn’t a simple buyer-seller relationship.  The risks and the challenges in agriculture are very real, with population projections skyrocketing and our ability to feed the world needing to increase. 

Through their farm and family business, the Proskos are making a difference in the industry. Using technology such as variable rate fertilizer and seed application, they are delivering the best yields and quality when it comes to their crops.

Eric is a fifth generation farmer/rancher. Along with his father and business partner, he manages a feedlot, commercial cattle herd and grain farm. Eric is a strong ‘agvocate’ for the ag industry and understands the essential role primary production plays in a safe and nutritious global food supply. 

Alan spends most of his days talking with cattle producers, either on the ranch or over the phone.. These conversations focus on co-ordinating the logistics for moving cattle from producers to buyers, establishing contracts and arranging financial analysis. 

Rick Block believes that youth are the key to the sustainability of the agriculture industry. This belief is reflected in his commitment to agriculture education and passion for promoting stewardship.

Ryan’s work involves being at the market every day, working with producers to provide them the tools they need to make informative marketing decisions. It’s Ryan’s job to read the experienced buyers and professionally sell the product to ensure producers are getting a competitive price.
