Are you a strategic leader with a passion for driving meaningful change? Do you excel at building relationships and crafting innovative fundraising strategies that ensure organizational success? If so, we’re looking for you to take the reins as our next Executive Director!
In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of promoting agricultural education in Canada, driving strategic growth, empowering our national team, supporting our provincial teams, and strengthening our funding portfolio. You’ll lead creative and sustainable fundraising initiatives while collaborating with industry leaders, and passionate stakeholders. What You’ll Do
- Fundraising Leadership
- Develop and execute a robust and sustainable fundraising strategy to secure long-term financial stability.
- Create innovative campaigns to attract diverse funding sources, including corporate sponsorships, agricultural organizations, grants, government funding, and individual donors.
- Cultivate and deepen relationships with funders, fostering trust and alignment with AITC-C’s mission.
- Build partnerships with agricultural and educational stakeholders to enhance funding opportunities and program reach.
- Monitor fundraising trends and identify new opportunities to enhance AITC-C’s financial resources.
- Shape the Future of Agricultural Education: Lead the development and implementation of innovative programs and strategies that expand AITC-C’s national impact.
- Inspire and Lead: Oversee daily operations, foster a culture of collaboration, and mentor a talented team committed to our mission.
- Be a National Advocate: Represent AITC-C on influential committees and forums, promoting the importance of agricultural education across Canada.

- Fundraising Expertise: A proven track record of designing, leading, and managing successful fundraising campaigns that exceed targets.
- Innovative Fundraising Vision: Creative thinking to craft compelling cases for support and develop new funding streams.
- Strategic Vision: The ability to craft and execute innovative strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Inspirational Communication: Exceptional relationship-building and public speaking skills, with the ability to unite diverse stakeholders under a shared mission.
- Agricultural and Educational Savvy: Knowledge of Canada’s agri-food industry and a strong appreciation for education’s transformative power.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years in senior leadership roles, including significant fundraising experience.
- Education in Business, Agriculture, Education, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the non-profit sector.
- Expertise in financial oversight and securing diverse funding sources.
- Familiarity and passion for Canada’s agricultural landscape.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Bilingual skills (English/French) are an asset.
