Manager for thinkAG Career Initiative Announced

This month, Agriculture in the Classroom-Canada (AITC-C) welcomed Shayla Hertz as its new thinkAG Career Initiative Manager.

thinkAG is a national career initiative under AITC-C that provides students an opportunity to learn about the agriculture and food industry, explore various agricultural careers, and gain an understanding of the many education and employment opportunities available in the agri-food sector.

Shayla brings a wealth of experience and energy to the role, having grown up on a grain farm outside of Edenwold, SK, where her parents still farm today. After graduating high school, she attended Williston State College in North Dakota to study agriculture economics. Upon receiving her Associate Degree in Arts and Science, she moved to Saskatoon to continue pursuing her love for agriculture, earning her Bachelor of Science in Agribusiness at the University of Saskatchewan.
