Heather Krahn works as a Regional Sales Agronomist for Richardson Pioneer.
As an important member of her team at Richardson Pioneer, Heather supports both her coworkers and producers on and off the field. Heather’s work involves meeting with producers to discuss crop and fertility planning, as well as meeting with industry leaders on the latest trends, issues and solutions in agricultural products and research. Whether she is collecting soil data, targeting weed and fungus problems or advising on swath timing, desiccation and pre-harvest timing, Heather’s work is incredibly rewarding and valuable. Through her work and continued learning, she helps the Richardson Pioneer team meet the increasingly growing demands of food production in a way that respects producers’ needs, the commodity markets and the environment.
Canada’s agricultural prosperity is built on a foundation of hard work, but also on innovation and excellent land stewardship. Heather embodies this approach through her work with producers and her team. As an Agronomist with a minor in Agribusiness, Heather not only helps producers, but also contributes to her family farm’s success with the knowledge she gained in the classroom and in her work.
After graduation, Heather’s options were numerous because her degree in Agronomy opened doors to countless other employment opportunities in consulting, sales, research and environmental management. For Heather, her career fits her life perfectly, as she has attained success without compromising on the lifestyle she loves.
